Alaina and Tyler // Hocking Hills, OH Intimate Wedding

Alaina is a one of a kind bride. Incredible planning and organization abilities- like, everything planned by her to the tiniest detail and explained slash documented in a way that others were able to read the instructions, refer to the reference photos and execute her vision when she wasn’t available. I always recommend hiring a professional wedding planner, even if just to make sure your day feels like the fairy tale you envision in your head, BUT!!!! If you plan your own, please be a planner. Please enjoy it. Please do it only if it will truly pour life into you. For Alaina, planning and making sure this day went according to her perfect plan perfectly lit her on absolute fire and you could tell in every moment of the day. She was hands on when needed, hands off whenever possible and she was as relaxed as I’ve ever seen a bride be on her wedding day.

I took my two besties and my little sweet second photographer @chelseamarshallphoto all the way from Michigan down to beautiful Hocking Hills, OH for this October wedding day. The drive from my air bnb to the location gifted me the unique (for me) challenge of driving a 3xxl rental SUV through the narrowest roads, down the most mountainous hills which for some reason ALWAYS brought me to the 90-est degree angled turns at the very bottom of the hill. I was the slowest driver on the road that day and it wasn’t even close.

Once the day started, I took a quick break to twist my ankle and then continued on. The sun repaid me for my sacrifices by gifting me a strong presence all day long and a beautiful farewell on its way out for the day. We explored the rock formations on the grounds of the venue for their private morning vows and then kept them hidden from each other until the moment Alaina exited the trees during their ceremony, which had everyone in tears expeditiously. After their quick, emotional ceremony led by Tyler's mom's long-term girlfriend, we shot some newlywed photos, some group photos with the bridal party and then made ourselves comfy for dinner and dancing. You’ll see looking through their gallery, tears were in no scarcity for Alaina and Tyler the whole day. They are so well loved and it was an honor to spend their day with them.
